In 2019 the Fair will be celebrated from 6th to 11th in September.
On the first day of the fair, the traditional cavalcade with big heads will parade through the main streets of the town. The day fair is taking place next to the wall where there will be popular activities and games for children as well as musical performances and fireworks.
Activities during the fair in Mijas Pueblo
The fair of Mijas town is split in two, the Fair by day and the Fair by night.
Among the activities there are evening musical performances, a bike ride through the village, a horse rally, a children’s festival or popular games on the Wall, a skeet shooting competition and a huge paella among many other activities.
There is also a fairground on Avenida de Mexico. You’ll find the typical fairground mechanical attractions.
As every year, the queen and king of the fair will be chosen, both for adults and children.

Fair Program
The youth booth will have DJs with fashionable music from 10 pm to 5 am.
Friday 6 at night
Children’s Day, all attractions are priced at 2 €.
The Youth Booth organizes its own opening party until late.
- 4.30 pm: Registration of children who want to participate in the later parade.
- 6.30 pm: Large parade with start and finish in front of the Town Hall.
- 8.30 pm: Dinner in homage to the elderly.
- 9 pm: Live performance with free admission.
- 10 pm: Inauguration of the fairgrounds and lighting of the fair.
- 10:30 pm: Presentation and coronation of candidates for queen, king, ladies and companions.
- Midnight: Performance by Alejados, a tribute to the Spanish band El Último de la Fila.
Saturday 7
- 2 pm: Inauguration of the Day Fair at La Muralla de Mijas Pueblo.
- 7 pm: Bull-running from the Cañada de Gertrudis to the Plaza de Toros.
- 8 pm:Closing of the day Fair.
Night Fair
Themed party in the Youth Booth with music group and DJ performance until late.
- 9.30pm: Free photocall as a souvenir of the Feria de Mijas Pueblo.
- 10.30pm: Live performance by guest artist Ana Guerra and DJ Gamez.
Sunday 8
- 11.30 am: Religious event in honour of the Virgin of the town.
- 2 pm: Opening of the Day Fair.
- From 2.30 to 5.30 pm: Activities and performances by guest artists.
- 6’00 pm: Closing of day Fair.
Night Fair
Themed party in the Youth Booth with music group and DJ performance until late.
- 6 pm: Parade with music bands from the door of the Town Hall to the parish church.
- 9.30 pm: Pilgrimage of Virgen de la Peña.
- 10 pm: Guest artist performance at the Municipal Booth: :Long Play and Pitingo.
Monday 9
- 10 am: Registration to participate in a bicycle route through the streets of Mijas Pueblo.
- 2 pm: Opening of the Day Fair with live performances.
- 8 pm: Closing of the daytime Fair.
Night Fair
Themed party in the Youth Booth with gifts for the attendees.
- 9.30 pm until 12.30 pm: Free photocall as a souvenir of the Feria de Mijas Pueblo.
- 10.30pm: Live musical group performance with Pitingo.
Tuesday 10
- 2 pm: Opening of the Fair by day with performances by guest artists.
- 6.30pm: Children’s games in the gardens of La Muralla with activities.
- 6.30pm: Election of Queen, King and Children’s Companions of the Fair.
- 8 pm: Closing of the daytime Fair.
Night Fair
Closing party at the Youth Booth with DJ until late.
- 10 pm: Performance by Marisol Bizcocho.
Miércoles 11
- 2 pm: Opening of the Day Fair with performances by orchestra or guest artists.
- 6 pm: Churros with chocolate for all those assisting to the Day Fair.
- 6.30 pm: Performance by El Callejón.
Night Fair
- Music by Michael Stiven in the Youth Booth.
- 10 pm: Carnival performances.
How to get to Mijas Pueblo
By car: Along the Mediterranean motorway A-7. From Benalmadena before reaching Fuengirola take exit 214 towards the A-387 / Mijas.
From Marbella on the AP-7 take exit 213 towards the A-387 / Mijas. If you drive along the A-7 / N-340 take exit 210 in Fuengirola towards the A-387 / Mijas.
By bus: From the bus station in Fuengirola buses leave every 25 minutes to Mijas Pueblo.
